Protecting Midmar Paddock as open access, unbuilt on greenspace

We are local volunteers acting as trustees for a group which enjoys wide community support.

Our aim is to protect Midmar Paddock, the open field located on Midmar Drive, in the Morningside and Braids district of Edinburgh.

We want it to remain as open access, unbuilt on, greenspace for the benefit of the community, whether local or from across Edinburgh.

Save Midmar Paddock!

We are developing a Local Place Plan for Midmar Paddock to make sure it remains unbuilt on publicly accessible open green space and we would like your help in answering a question.

About Midmar Paddock

The paddock is a large, open piece of land in constant use by the community. It has a wide range of wildlife and plant species, and a surprising history.

Development at
Midmar

Plans are currently being drawn up for an extensive development at Midmar Paddock, which could include houses and a private care home.

An application for planning permission has not yet been made, as far as we are aware, but given the potential scale of the development, it is likely to trigger a requirement to consult with the local community.  We will post updates on our website when we know more.
